Blog assignment: Write a brief entry on your blog explaining a)whether or not you believe armed force is justifiable in conflicts/survival situations and b)why or why not. Explain the circumstances you believe would warrant using violence to settle disputes or protect yourself or others.
I think that the use of armed forces id justifiable if they are used to protect a person's rights or self defense. Like for example, if we were to intervene in countries that use child soldiers against there wills. Or if you are going to be killed or harmed by someone you should be able to fight back. I think this because human lives are at stake. Human lives are protected under the law and therefore it is lawful to use armed forces to protect them.

City Pre-War for the Jewish Photo Project
This is Bamberg, Germany. It is located in Bavaria. Recent numbers put Bamberg at about 70,000 people total but in the year 1990 (pre-holocaustish) the number for just the Jewish population was about 1,000. Life was nice and pleasant for those of the Jewish denomination. They had been living in Bamberg since before the First Crusade. However, during the holocaust that number plummeted and the fate of all but 17 people were ruined. Bamberg was just another city to be purged of Jewish influence and because of that idea hundreds of Jew were sent to their deaths. The numbers have since been brought back up but they we never forget.

In the first picture is a couple of Jewish kids from Bamberg, Germany living their normal lives. We can say that because they are smiling freely back to back and are dressed up and enjoying themselves with a curtain background, like in a home. In the second photo is my two older sisters and me dressed up for Halloween. In the background there is a commotion and a large room indicating a party of some sort is the setting. In both pictures there is a sense of unity and fun. Both pictures involve costumes and are not profile photos. They are similar also in that they are very natural, loving, and family oriented. However, they are different in background, number of people, ages of people, and of course costumes. Both show normal and ordinary lives and how to protect them we can not allow genocide (injustice) to go unchecked, because it can destroy this happy picture in a matter of minutes.
